Women’s day spotlight: her mom

"She is my living hero! Seeing my mom work so hard, to provide a good life to her 4 kids, after a tough divorce, inspired me to be independent early, to believe in myself and to always be positive in every situation in life ! This women’s day I highlight you MOM - for your strength, your  kindness, and unconditional love always. Through good and bad, ups and downs, you always made sure to bring smiles and happiness into our lives! I love you and I am proud to be your daughter!"

Women’s day spotlight: her mom, Claudia

How has this person spread their light to you or in your community?

It has been 3 years since I moved to the USA and she is one of my biggest supporters, even from afar. She is back in our country, Brazil, and whenever I need her, even to listen to me and support me emotionally, she is there to help me with her busy schedule. My mother is an example of a woman who is there for her family, no matter what! I grew up in 4 different countries and my mother has always pulled the strings to better support my little sister and me during the adaptation, relocation, saying goodbye and starting over in a different country. I really admire how she sees life, love, family, how she fights for everything she believes in! This day is for all amazing women like my mom!

Which Elaluz product would Claudia love most?

I would love to give her the 24K Eye Treatment! She already has almost everything else from Elaluz – she loves and uses all the products everyday!

Women’s day spotlight: her sister, Sarah: LCSW; Founder and Executive Director of Huneebee Project

How has this person spread their light to you or in your community?

I’m nominating my sister, Sarah because she is an amazing sister and friend who is always there for her loved ones, as well as her community. Not only does she work full-time as a social worker, she also spends nearly all her free time building her nonprofit social enterprise Huneebee Project. Despite a pandemic and all the craziness that comes with it, Sarah has dedicated herself to providing local youth with past or present child protective and/or foster care involvement with therapeutic job skills training every Saturday [outside and socially distanced]. Along with helping these children, she is also helping the environment by protecting our honeybees! There is so much more to this that she does – I could go on for paragraphs. To keep it short though, she is a caring soul who puts others before herself and a loving and dedicated social worker, all while building (in her free time) a positive enterprise focused on helping youth, her community, and the environment.

Which Elaluz product would Sarah love most?

I am excited to gift the Elaluz Beauty Oil to Sarah because skincare is her luxury and favorite form of treating herself, and she deserves to treat herself!

Women’s day spotlight: her friend, Nicole

How has this person spread their light to you or in your community?

I would like to nominate my friend Nicole because she inspires me daily with her creativity, humor, and love of life. As the mom of two precious little girls, Nicole is incredibly selfless putting her family and friends first. She strives each day to help others create healthy habits through nutrition and movement. Nicole is strong, courageous, and motivates me to be my best self.

Women’s day spotlight: her sisters, Mercedes and Isabel

How has this person spread their light to you or in your community?

I would love to shine light on both my sisters, Mercedes & Isabel. I admire both of them so much. Over the past year they have single handedly, seamlessly and successfully dealt with; moving to a new country, achieving a promotion in a whole new country and city within months of just arriving, enrolling and successfully advancing a graduate MBA program, managing a  company with a significant number of employees in the midst of a pandemic, sickness in the family and overall support and big smiles to everyone –even when it was hard to smile-. They have both risen above all of their circumstances and challenges, and done so in such a graceful and effective manner. They make me, and everyone in their lives want to be better every day. I know every day is a hustle for each one of them, but they make it seem so easy and are always ready to give more to anyone who needs them. They truly shine light in all of the lives they touch.

Which Elaluz product would Mercedes and Isabel love most?

I would love for them to be able to try the Elaluz Beauty Oil, as they are both makeup experts and am sure they would use it and enjoy it everyday.

Women’s day spotlight: her sister, Phi: Lawyer, Sister, Mother

How has this person spread their light to you or in your community?

I would like to nominate my sister Phi who has been one of the biggest inspirations in my life. Growing up, my sister has shown me that life isn’t measured by awards, titles, and accolades (although, she has plenty of those) but about family, community, and generosity. My sister works extremely hard as a contract attorney while simultaneously balancing the full-time job of being a mom to 2 incredible kids, my niece and nephew Maple and Parker. With all this on her plate, she still manages to find time to prioritize her family and friends, never missing a birthday, an anniversary or graduation. Being an advocate for celebrating and encouraging the people in her life, she treats everyone with the utmost respect and deeply cares about bringing happiness to the people she meets. We definitely could all benefit from having a Phi in our lives!
